About Kunyu
Dr. Kunyu Wang will join the University of Miami in January 2027. His research group will leverage chemical synthesis to construct nanosized pores to address grand challenges in polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) removal, critical mineral harvesting, and polymer upcycling. He has published 80 peer-reviewed articles with 24 first- or corresponding-author papers, including 1 Nat. Protoc., 6 J. Am. Chem. Soc, 2 Angew. Chem., 2 Adv. Mater., 2 ACS Cent. Sci., 1 JACS Au, 1 Matter, 1 Chem. Rev., and 2 Chem. Soc. Rev. (Total citations >6400 times) He has given 33 public presentations, including 6 invited talks. He also serves as the Chair of the Younger Chemists Committee (YCC) of ACS Philadelphia Section and the Early Career Network Representative of DOE-BES. He was invited as an independent reviewer for J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater., Inorg. Chem., Coord. Chem. Rev., Small, Environ. Sci. Ecotechnology, Nano Lett., Catal. Today, Commun.
